CodeMaker AI supports the creation of indexes on the content of the entire repository. Once created, the index maps the content of the entire codebase, including the source files and any related documentation stored in markdown or HTML files.
Creating an index for the first time may take multiple hours. Every subsequent updates to the index will be eventual consistent.
Currently, the following types of indexes are supported.
Source
The source indexes map the content of the entire repository at the specified branch. By default, all text files are indexed, including source code, markdown, HTML, and any other text files. The content of hidden directories is ignored from indexing. Hidden files under standard directories are indexed.
When creating an index, the user can choose between one of two possible indexing schedules. Once - the index will be populated only upon creation and will never be updated. Daily - means that the index will be updated daily if there has been any change to the repository.
